A divine & once in a lifetime experience! 🙏The spiritual and mythological significance of Amrita Kumbha is well known to everyone. But the current Kumbha Mela event has been trending on my social media feeds and news channel for a month. Some speak about mixed reviews and unfortunate events. Then, some speak about good governance, better management and organisational skills. So, we decided to see it ourselves. Is it madness? Well, maybe. People in our country are mad enough to spend lakhs on a single Coldplay concert ticket when most of them do not recognise the lead singer on the busy streets of Mumbai. And, Coldplay does at least 50 shows worldwide in a year whereas Amrita Kumbha comes after 144 years. After all, where on the earth, you will be able to witness an event which draws 50 Cr people (still counting) which is more than the population of any other country in the world except India & China.Along the way, we experienced a very different India. A very different one from my day to day life in Bengaluru. In the end, the holy dip, which lasted less than a second, felt peaceful even when surrounded by at least a crore people.Will I do it again? Of course.
